If I was a Mumbaikar, I would be mad as hell at the government for its inability to protect the city, and incompetence at holding Pakistan to account. Interestingly, CNN clearly mentions 26/11 was conducted by "Pakistani gunmen." I guess it will take a year or two before they will start attributing this one to ISI too.

I hope there is no follow-up attack about to happen.

Pakistan has already issued a standard condemnation of the attacks. It's like they have the condemnation ready to go before the attack happens.

Obama condemns the attacks, and says he will stand with the Indian people. But the reference to the resilience of the Indian people makes it sound much like Recycled Soul's statements about Mumbai.

The English language lovers should thank our gallant IAS officers for introducing nice phrases to diplomatic discourse like "defusing the situation," (when Soviets occupied Afghanistan our folks promised to "defuse" the situation), "resilience of people," (referring to Kashmiris, Bombaites annexed the honor later, recently Japanese), "vicarious response," (what they did to muslims in Ahmedabad in response to what muslims did to Hindu women pilgrims at Godhra burning them in their train car).

What is the all fuss is about? Blasts are like accidents in India. They happen all the time. They got a billion plus bodies to sacrifice. No efforts will be made. No steps will be taken if it comes in the way of yuv raj's coronation in 2014. I may be cynical but they keep proving me right again and again.

When there is no will, just play to gallery. Any amount of anger will dissipate over few days.
