Selling books on amazon and ebay

Does anyone here have experience selling books on amazon and/or ebay? If yes, a brief tutorial would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I heard a coworker mention she ended up paying couple of dollars in the end to sell a book.
I think something about having to pay for the shipping n she didn't even break even.
On amazon.

Create a seller account, link it up to the bank account where you want the money to be deposited. Amazon will verify the details after which you can create the posting using the book's ISBN number. When a buyer chooses your book, Amazon will email you the order, with a shipping label, shipping cost etc. Pack it, mail it, inform the buyer and Amazon. A few days later, the full amt incl shipping fee is credited to your ac.

Is this your backhanded attempt to show that you are a 'respectable" author with some published books?
A google/internet warrior , such as yourself should not have a problem in finding the information without us lowly SuCH'ers.
