-> Looks like a repeat schedule of 2011-12 (Eng & Aus back to back tours), lets see how do we fare this time around. England looks beatable, but our team is inexperienced.

Who are the Indian bowlers who can take 20 wickets in Test matches ? The likes of Ishant Sharma and Ashwin? They will take 4 or 5 wickets in all at best and start praying for declaration. Expect scores like 632 for 5 declared.

My guess is Mohd. Shami will do good in English conditions.

Dravid to mentor India in England:
Former India captain Rahul Dravid has been appointed in a mentoring role to the team in the run-up to their five-Test series in England. Dravid will have a few sessions with the players before the series begins on July 9. He is expected to join the team latest by Monday.

The move was initiated by the team management, according to BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel. "It was the coach (Duncan Fletcher) who approached us on behalf of the team and said it would be good to have Rahul with his vast experience spend some time with the boys ahead of the series," Patel told ESPNcricinfo. "We immediately requested Rahul and he readily agreed."

In March this year, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar had said that Dravid should take over as India coach, but the latter had declined the suggestion citing lack of time.

-> Is Dravid going to mentor bowlers as well?

Indian bowling has been an absolute disaster from the past several years.  If conditions help, Indian bowling can knock of opposition once or twice. But on a normal pitch, they can only pray for the end of the day.

Avg. and inexperienced batting and lackluster bowling.  Nothing good can be expected.  Since this is a five test series, a surprise victory can also be ruled out.

I think fantastic schedule... Indian team should get enough practice losing in England so they can do even better (losing) in Australia

This is their opportunity to prove that they are ready to take over the mantle and are second to none (i.e. retired seniors)
