Theory vs. Practise!
You may discuss 100 things, but it is far more important to practice 1.
"Hard Work has no substitute!" - a cliche? The more I know life, it is the ONLY truth of success in real life.
The ONLY.
Practical realizations,
TS.

Agree! It is not for nothing that Einstein said Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.TruthSeeker wrote:You may discuss 100 things, but it is far more important to practice 1.

Re: Theory vs. Practise!
Hmm. Even THE Creative Einstein knew! :-) I am dealing with tweens - too many self proclaimed Genius in family right now! :-))
I hope to teach the "value" of hard work to such independently thinking....stubborn? :-)

My house cleaning maids and the lawn mowing guy work harder than most, but they are not successful. Why?TruthSeeker wrote:You may discuss 100 things, but it is far more important to practice 1.

:-) Working hard does not amount to working hard physically.
Person "A" working hard for 8 hours, does not amount to Person "B" working hard for 8 hours.
Person "A" and "B" have different "abilities".
"A" can do 100 times more difficult things than what "B" can.
Demand and Supply. Difference in Abilities.
If mowing a lawn became something of an ability that most cannot, then it will be paid accordingly.
But its no special skill - I have been mowing my lawn for the last 14 years, and dont understand why some pay for this service, when it gets them some much needed exercise?
Work hard, to obtain hard to achieve skills.
Not on watching 16 movies in a row. Or on spending 45 hours on iPad.
Even thieves work hard.
Of course, intention counts.
Regards,
TS.

Yeah. Those Messican lawn mowers' intentions are never good. But still, there is no substitute to Messican guy. Hard work pays. Minimum wage fo sho.

I have heard of similar statement attributed initially to Edison.

@Merlot - Who are you? Whats your identity, if any? Here is some fodder for you to feed on - You, IMHO, are a Chhupinder. One who hides. So be it. You lose the right to judge a TS. or anyone. Hide behind that rock all your life, and throw little pebbles at the elephant to feel better.
@7 - May God Bless U. I never wanted to respond to anyone on email I met on any social site that I have not met in person. So, I do not know how QB is. But I love her. God willing, I may meet her in this life, but if not, so be it. How are U?
Best wishes,
TS.
