Come think of it, Carvaka has an excellent opportunity to translate Andhra pravachanas into Telangana bhasha on Telangana bhakti TV channels (I don't know the Telangana word for bhakti). Otherwise, if the next generation in Telangana listens to Garikipati, they won't understand a word.

Potana vraasina pustakaaniki aayana pettukonna peru kooda "Sree madaandhra mahaa-bhaagavatamu."

That "andhra" is something different from "telugu" is a KCR/TRS creation to differentiate telanganites. If he used "kOsta" and "lOtaTTu" (coastal and interior) it would have been more appropriate. Actually a Telangana guy wrote a little piece on this word "andhra" and how it was used in Telangana to define themselves just a generation ago. If I can dig it up I will post.

Yes, Garikapati is an excellent speaker. I attended one of his lectures in Maryland when he visited the Washington area. Unfortunately, he came to this area to give a lecture in Virginia, and I heard he really hit it out of the ballpark there. Many of us on the Maryland side couldn't go because it involved driving around the Washington beltway on a weekday during rush hour. But the organized arranged a last minute lecture in Maryland. He was already tired, about to board a plane to India in two days, and so his heart was not in hat lecture. Still he managed and not so bad a job (he talked about dhoorjati's kaalahasti satakam, but only 2 or 3 padyams in two hours of talk). Smile

Ya, even Potana's Bharatam is called Andhra MahaBharatam. 'Andhra' is not the telugu dialect spoken by ppl of a particular geographical area as it's popularly used as currently. Garikapati garu explains about that in one of his speeches in detail. It's another word for telugu, the language.

Anyway, a lot of his videos are available on youtube. Maryland lo attend avvakapote nemi, you can always watch his videos.

I am sure KCR will change the title of Potana's Srimat Andhra Mahaa Bhaagavatamu to Hyderabadi Byriani Bhagavatam.
