Religious equality and freedom according to the Constitution? Empty Religious equality and freedom according to the Constitution?

Post by Seva Lamberdar Wed Jan 28, 2015 9:44 am

How far should the religious freedom extend according to the Constitution, given that there are some religious faiths whose tenets based on the scriptures profess inequality and denigration of others (even calling others non-believers and evil etc.) and require their extermination (including through conversions etc.)?  Moreover, does the constitutional right to these people to convert others mean that the Constitution agrees with and upholds the religious dogma that advocates the inequality, denigration and extermination towards people of other faiths?
