Old Parents.......

Post by TruthSeeker on Thu Apr 09, 2015 10:35 pm

I was in India last Jan.

Took a ride to Amritsar Golden temple, with parents.

In the hotel room, my dad talked about heating problem, while mom said he has walked too much.

I looked at my dad's feet was in a bit of a shock, as to how dry they looked.

We came back to Delhi, and next day, I abruptly took a bottle of Nivea, asked him to put his feet on the table, and gave him a massage.

Of course, taken by surprise, he kept on pushing back saying - oh they are ok, you worry too much.

After my wife, he is the only one I remembered tonight giving the feet massage...

Our parents, walked and walked for us all their life, and when their feet are dry...I am here in US!

Tis a tough one,
TS.

True. Thank goodness there's two dollar hooch. Soothes the mind and draws away concerns from dry footed fathers and upside down wives to truly abstract cosmic matters. Such bliss. Uff.

you have whined more than once about this. if you are so concerned about them, why don't you take the steps to bring them to the US and care for them, instead of crying to us about it?

TS,
I do not agree to the (mis)characterization of your post (specifically highlighted) in this reply. I liked your post, on such an important topic that every person can relate to.

Hi RE -

I know.

There is "A" reason, that I start posts expressing myself - and there is "A" reason that a Merlot or Maxipad "react".

Folks who only "react" in life, have never even attempted to "discover" themselves.

Its simply a higher degree of "FEAR", and nothing else. React to another, and that somehow relieves one of acting.

I introspect, while they TS-spect :-)

May they grow some balls, roughly put.

Regards,
TS.
