friedman and samuelson - a history of modern economics Empty friedman and samuelson - a history of modern economics

a long and interesting article on a rivalry that parallels the advancement of economics into its modern form:

to me, samuelson > friedman, because of the primary role the former played in the mathematization of economics.

incidentally, samuelson was on the faculty of iim-calcutta around 1966, about four years before he won the nobel prize.
