I'm pretty active on whatsapp. Most of the other interactions are via iMessage and FB. Then there are infrequent outings on telegram and even lesser on hike or whatever it is called. when older is in school, i use kik with her extensively.

I still use ym once in a while, i am logged on it almost 24x7 though (like on all other apps), mostly because i forget to sign out of it, that's how inactive it is. Because of this, the funny thing that happens is the moment older opens my laptop at home, i get signed out from my phone... she is not allowed to use my laptop, and she still hasn't figured out how i catch her everytime.

I tried hangouts, shittiest app seen so far, or maybe I couldn't learn to navigate it. I have not used MSN messenger in ages.

all other cool apps that teens use, i don't even know their names, nor do i have the energy to install them. i do only if someone asks me to.

Whatsapp/viber etc... require real phone number. That is of concern to those who want to mess with you or cause sleepless nights (in any which way).

ya earlier whatsapp had a smaller limit to how many members it can have, so we had temporarily moved to telegram.
