Btw, yes, in response to a comment by someone on Sulekha that caste must end before the reservations.

actually, I like the trend that's going on. more and more people becoming 'backward'. Maybe they should make another rule, once you or any of your ancestors have used any such quota, you can't compete in 'general' quota, like ever again. a single drop of that blood makes you that, kinda like black.
imagine, with time, it would be for an advantage to have ONE person marry someone sc/st/obc, so that the next few generations can use that certificate. With time, there will be like 80% population fighting for 60% quota, while the 20% who didn't go 'backward' will be playing field hockey in the 40% quota seats.
imagine... maybe I should write the next version of john lennon.
