......India was awake doing deep analysis at the individual and universal level and came with profound realization that growth and enlightenment must come from within......

......There was no parallel to their intellectual capability......

Here is an example from Taittireeyam (800 BC):

It is sad that barbarians came to the sub-continent and tried to destroy this great culture......

from the holy Satapatha Brahmana:

And whilst not coming into contact with Sûdras and remains of food; for this Gharma is he that shines yonder, and he is excellence, truth, and light; but woman, the Sûdra, the dog, and the black bird (the crow), are untruth: he should not look at these, lest he should mingle excellence and sin, light and darkness, truth and untruth.

Satapatha Brahmana 14:1:1:31

Some Western scholars place Taittiriyam in 600 BC.

The conclusion was based on comparative analysis. Since Siddhartha Gautama lived close to this era and had ideas similar to the major upanishads, the dates for the Upanishads were fixed accordingly.

The reality is, all major upanishads preceded Siddhartha and it was he who borrowed already being discussed ideas from the Upanishads. In his discourses, every time he started one, Siddhartha paid respects to his 10 gurus who taught him the essence of the upanishads. One might ask why his teachers are not as famous as Siddhartha himself. Are Gaudapada and Govindacharya famous? Like Siddhartha, Sankara paid his respects to his guru - that was (and still is) an Indian tradition.

Semitic faiths were highly destructive. They destroyed the Greek culture, Persian culture, Egyptian culture, several other Pagan cultures, Native cultures, attacked rationalism....... Just like these cultures, Indian culture also took a big hit BUT it survived. How - you might ask. It is surviving because it is inherently strong.

Eventually, as the youngsters in India get educated and become prosperous, the Aurangajebs, Ghaznis and Ghoris will be delegated to the garbage bin and India will regain its past glory.

I like the chanting/explanation by http://sambodh.us/SS/abtSB/abtSB.html

He explained it very well in a 3 day workshop years back and it was very pleasant to hear and to understand as he explained each verse in greater detail.
