Crime against justice Empty Crime against justice

Just watched this documentary on Netflix called Killswitch. The first half deals with the work of Aaron Swartz and how the criminal justice system during the Obama administration targeted him. It is a sad and scary story of government overreach told well.

One of the things I hated about Obama was his overuse of the WWI-era Espionage Act to scare off whistle-blowers, and the related aggressive prosecution of people like Swartz.

On a parallel note -  I could be wrong but I do remember you defending wikileaks and Assange in the past. Now it is a matter of political expediency I guess.

I defended Snowden. I still think he did the right thing in exposing Prism. He unfortunately trusted Assange who delivered him to Putin. Now he is not much more than Putin's puppet. Who knows, may be he can be president one day!
