The upside to President Trump's CNN wrestling tweet

Post by silvermani on Mon Jul 03, 2017 5:50 pm

With 140-characters, he can flush out media's most carefully hidden free speech frauds.
This is by no means a defense of the president's maddening social media addiction, which we've repeatedly called on the White House to break him of, or his especially stupid tweets as of late.

Rather, it's to posit a possible silver lining to this whole mess: That Trump's Twitter account keeps pushing members of the press to reveal their support for the First Amendment is conditional. Say something demeaning or unpleasant, as the president often does, and watch these same supposed free speech warriors turn into living, breathing Parental Advisory labels.
It's nice to have all of this out in the open. At least where know where people stand. Hey! A possible silver lining!

LOL! The whole ANTIFA movement has been nothing but an anti-First Amendment movement. America, Europe, India - the hypocrisy of the libtard is getting exposed on a daily basis!

The president's tweet, however, is not responsible for any possible future acts violence against media. If some lunatic takes it upon himself to try to harm a journalist or pundit, that crime is on him, not the president's words or tweets.
This is a perfect example of diminishing oneself by trying to defend this President; Any of this would've made a bit of sense, had the President not been as upset with CNN and other left-leaning out-lets or not taken criticism personally. Ask this author to tell the widow of Srinivas that it wasn't hate-filled rhetoric that took her husband's life; there are plenty of examples for the last couple of years in India as to how devastating the implications of hate-filled rhetoric can be.
