In Vrindavan there is a temple known as Rangji temple. It is probably the biggest Krishna temple in North India. One of the unique characteristics of this temple is that it is a replica of the Ranganathaswamy temple in Srirangam, Tamil Nadu. The priests in this Uttar Pradeshi temple are all Tamil. The consort of Lord Krishna in this temple is Krishna's famous Tamil devotee Andal (and not Radha). And the temple is constructed in accordance with dravidian architecture. Once you enter the temple you feel as if you are inside a temple in Tamil Nadu.

The temple was built by some Uttar Pradeshi businessmen who had a Tamil spiritual guru. The temple was built in accordance with the wishes of this Tamil guru.
