Nicely put. I read somewhere that human beings struggle/all their life to accumulate money/wealth with the realization or knowledge that they cannot take anything with them when they leave, yet keep accumulating more and more and in that process fail to enjoy the journey or miss the beauty on the way...

Probably once a person is addicted to money or reached certain level, they cannot stop going after for more and more.. I have seen quite wealthy people (in 2 digit Mn$ in wealth as well as yrly income), keep focused ONLY on money and thereby ignoring finer aspects of present day/life.

was hit by this when dad passed away. Not that he lived a life chasing money. He did live a complete life, and enjoyed/cherished it with his family and friends, all the while pursuing a couple of hobbies, one of which gave him his bread and butter.

but it hits you when you see all the stuff that's left behind. it's something you can't imagine until you go through it (no matter how many times you see it in movies and media). And you don't know what to do with it. I clicked pics of all his awards; took his watch; took a shirt to make a pillow. In my next visit might sort through pictures. Bro took his glasses; nephew took some t-shirts; niece/nephew some sweaters. But still so much left. With time mom will likely donate the rest of his stuff.

It also serves as a reminder to me to clean out all the junk i have in my house, and keep doing it. I do a little bit every week, but will take a lot of time before I get to all of it.
