scares me... in early 2017, i had to go to the er for something. I was kept there for about 12 hours, and at some point someone had made me pay the 'balance' of about 600 dollars. All good, i thought. Then in June of 2018, about 1.5 year later, i get a bill from them for about $2000... i checked the insurance site, and it said the same. I was too tired and busy at the time to call up insurance or the hospital, i had that much balance in my hsa card so just paid it, but not without shaking my head in horror.
