In the interest of accountability and transparency, shouldn't the voters know before casting votes in the parliamentary elections the name / identity of future Govt. leader (prime minister) if a certain political party or alliance gets majority of seats in the parliament?

A person who goes through the parliamentary elections as officially declared prime ministerial candidate from his / her political party / alliance has greater accountability and responsibility as prime minister towards the people (voters) directly, than a person who does not enter the parliamentary elections as the officially declared prime ministerial candidate from any party / alliance but still gets picked for the post of prime minister later by others who, not the people (voters), are seen eventually holding the reigns of power for him / her as prime minister.

CD,it's still better than not knowing who might be picked as P.M. later by 541 elected "smart" MPs.

It seems, till the Constitution is amended to rectify "a person can become (and stay as) PM (prime minister) without being an MP (member of the Lower House of Parliament or Lok Sabha)", the parliamentary democracy will continue with the possibility of appointing a Govt. head (prime minister) who stooges for party brokers and vested interests because he / she owes his / her job as prime minister to them, after having neither run in the parliamentary elections and won a seat as MP in Lok Sabha, nor faced the ordinary voters in the parliamentary elections as officially declared prime ministerial candidate of a political party / alliance.
