I have never used this airport at DEL. Will be arriving at 8.30 PM and after a 10 hour layover, will be flying out Jet Airways to Chennai the next morning.
Trying to plan the transit so that it will be comfortable.

1. Is it possible to clear customs with the checked-in baggage (1 suitcase) and hand it over to Jet Airways, to free myself from the burden so that I can go out of the airport for a dhaaba-style tandoor dinner?
2. Anyone with experience using the pods where one can snooze for a few hours at the IGI airport? http://www.newdelhiairport.in/sleeping-pods-airport.aspx
3. Are there malls/cineplexes/restaurants near the airport area, Mahipalpur?

The problem is that you're landing DEL 830pm. Your one-stop jaunt very close to the airport would be the Vasant Kunj malls - Ambience, Promenade and Emporio - but they all close 11pm. Better dhabas also close early. Not sure what else you wanna do at night in Del.
