He has very good advice for preserving music, dance and stage play.
The commercial interruptions on the videoe remind of fashion secular discussions by our extremely brilliant Su-Ch scholars.

Vizianagaram Maharajah's music school should be proud of its alumnae - Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu, Ivaturi Vijayeswara Rao (guru of Kanyakumari, and Pantula Rama), Ghantasala, P. Sushila, Nedunuri Krishnamurthy (back in his day he was considered the most handsome musician and his concerts used to be packed with teenage girls in the audience:-), Sripada Pinakapani (he too did spend some time there), etc.

Yes! That's what I was thinking while watching this interview. They made immense contribution to the world of music!

Viziayanagaram was a great educational center. Those days, to be a lecturer in Maharaja college was more prestigious than being a professor at AU. I didn't know that Ghantasala was associated with Vizianagaram (he was from a small village near Gudivada, Krishna dist). Also, I didn't know that Pinakapani was associated with Vizianagaram. Vaalladi Srikakulam (Sreekoormam?).

The real reason for Krishnamoorthy's success - He couldn't breathe the air in Pithapuram (sugar factory kampu) and started to sing! Whenever we went home for holidays (from Vizag), as soon as the train approached Pithapuram station, we used to put a "rumaala with some scent" on our noses.

Yes, Ghantasala and Sushila were both products of Vizianagaram music college. Ghantasala's native place may be in Krishna Dt., but he learned music formally at Vizianagaram (he was poor, and the college charged no fees). Pinakapani's native place is Srikakulam (Priya Agraharam), and he first learned music in Rajahmundry, and later polished his music in Vizianagaram under Dwaram Venkatasawmy Naidu.Vakavaka Pakapaka wrote:
