I think Krugman was being polite with professional courtesy but this is 'castigation' no doubt.

yeah...actually he should have said... It is the shoddy work by people like these that allow Wall street looters to make a run on the country. So these 2 researchers also should be thrown in the slammer.

This is what happens when you decide on the conclusion and then "massage" your data until you reach that conclusion. The researchers in question should be ashamed of themselves. To err is human, but to not admit your mistakes when caught is less than human.

economics is not real science, no? one economist gets a nobel for a theory and another economist will get a nobel for saying exactly the opposite

Just for discussion can you state some examples.
Milton freidman and paul krugman are both noble winnets and on opposite side of political economy. Can you use them or similar peoples work to support your statement?
