An ad director from Lawrence has filed a $6 million lawsuit, claiming her boss at a fragrance company repeatedly taunted her about looking like stout singer Susan Boyle
Laura Ziv, 45, said she eventually suffered a brain hemorrhage from stress caused by the unflattering comparisons, according to a report on NYPost.com.
Ziv said she took a leave of absence from Firmenich after being diagnosed with high blood pressure.
Ziv alleges her supervisor, Herve Pierini, removed her from a large account and withheld a promised bonus.
She also claims in the suit that Pierini called her "Susan Boyle" during a party hosted by one of the client's top executives. He also referred to Ziv as "fatty" in the presence of her co-workers and remarked, "Fatty here is having a cupcake."
Boyle, a 52-year-old Scot, gained fame when she competed on Britain's Got Talent in 2009 and surprised audiences with her powerful voice and frumpy appearance.
Firmeninch is a Geneva, Switzerland-based company that has a New Jersey office in Plainsboro. The suit was filed in Manhattan, where Ziv worked.
Neither Pierini nor Firmenich would comment on the suit.

fatty has only FILED a lawsuit. She hasn't won yet. Therefore "fatty has her day" is inapplicable.
