This goes back to Mariamma advice: being a woman one should be aware of the surrounding and be skeptical (for which she was chided by Rev. ThOmas Iyer).

A man - a woman: if they go together, then the inevitable will happen - it is only a matter of time. And as I would say there can never be 100% life-time guarantee for a true "platonic" friendship between a man and a woman - that small risk is always present waiting for the catalyst.
