The complete letter of Tejpal's assault victim is given in the article at the link. She is a very brave girl. Spare a thought though for what must be going through the minds of Tejpal's wife and his two young daughters. Madhu Trehan in a recent interview said two very sensible things. Tejpal should on his own have handed himself over to the police. Secondly, he needs to shut down Tehelka now. ( Tejpal is the editor in chief, and also the owner of Tehelka).

I am saddened to see the dark side of Tejpal.

no. the woman in the picture seems to be zakia jaffery, widow of ehsaan jaffery (former Congress MP) who was killed in the Gujarat riots.

Javed Akhtar is supposed to be one of India's public intellectuals!

He is probably a buddy of Tejpal trying to save his friend. I agree he is behaving like a fool in this case.

I didn't know the gruesome details thought it was a drunken misbehaviour at a party. I take back my words and delete the tweet .
