You are no Nadella!
I buy more books than I can finish. I sign up for more online courses than I can complete.

>>> I said to myself “ I do the same things what Satya does.”
Then I heard my inner voice tell me: “Venkat! It is true you buy more books than you can finish. It is also true you sign up for more online courses than you can complete.
But desi, you are no Nadella!”

Of course not. You did not go to Manipal - rather went through the selection process to get a seat in Guindy.
I am curious to know if Nadella has any siblings and what they do.

Uppili,
Read the above article.
It is amusing to see uppili's efforts to get a grip on why Nadella Satya became Microsoft CEO. He probably inherited few genes from his brilliant father who is a highly regarded retired IAS officer of central cadre and was a member of Indian planning comminssion from 2004 to 2009. I heard of his father long before I became aware of Satya's existence. Satya's laser like focus on his goal is definitely a family trait.
Frankly all of the above does not matter. check this song below.

This song is in telugu. May sound little corny. but the great poet veturi sundara rama murti said " With determined effort , ordinary people can become rishis and mahapurush". The poet then tells the stories of Valmiki, ekalavya and sabari who rose to greatness from tribal beginings.

I already said how Satya could have become the CEO of MS. His good background - dont need to be super intelligent - his work ethic and determination. His non-elite educational background must have made him into a down to earth personality and easy to get along person with everyone.
Finally, his 25% worked for him...that is 25% of your success is dependent on the environment - parents with right attitude, no waste of years, right understanding spouse (he is married for 22 yrs to his high school sweetheart), and lastly good, motivated bosses/mentors to pull/push him along. The last one is super important, which makes or decided if one will reach the top.

Nevada,
I have not seen evidence of any large scale problem of AP students having problems at IITs. A small % of adjustment difficulty was always part IIT culture. My discussions with recent graduates and faculty does not indicate a significant problem. Is your information coming from anecdotal comments of uppili style all knowing souls or serious educators?

wait...do all your statements have proper references and research behind them? in which case one has to be a specialist in "education" and everyone else has to chup. And, if you cannot arrive at some views based on your life experience, then what good is your life ?
Besides how are you sure that everything i say is anecdotal? you expect me to provide names, locations, n instances? in any case refer to my signature.

Uppili saar vadu,
I expect nothing from you.
However we are left with the wreckage of your wisdom. EX: Osmania and JNTU . Those of us who are intimately familiar with those institutions are secure in our knowledge of these institutions but unsuspecting readers may perceive comments by your highness (based on zero facts and empty analysis) as some level of reflection of truth.

Again how can you be so sure that i am not familiar with JNTU and Osmania? I can say 100 shitty things about TN colleges/universities if only you are familiar with them. You are taking as an attack on Gult universities...and it is the focus bcz of Nadella. If Pichai had become, I would have riled about KGP...

Uppili in general is jealous of successful blokes such as Doctors, IITians, CEOs, Bankers, Donation degreewallahs, Muslims etc.,truthbetold wrote:Uppili saar vadu,

Re: You are no Nadella!
Agreed. But to his credit he spreads his jealousness and hatred evenly across all groups. Since he covered Hindus through their many sub groups such as TN brahmins, andhra kammas and reddys, Naarth Indians, he takes on muslims as one group for operational efficiency.confuzzled dude wrote:Uppili in general is jealous of successful blokes such as Doctors, IITians, CEOs, Bankers, Donation degreewallahs, Muslims etc.,truthbetold wrote:Uppili saar vadu,
