2.    Bird calls with a rattling sound in throat. (4)  
3.    Warm, cold, or laid back. (7) 
4.    Cast and off-screen characters immersed in impasse. (5-3) 
5.    Polish worker practices hand job. (10) 
6.    Vernacular for tree bark. (6) 
7.    Money for animal shelter. (5) 
8.    Fiber used in dress is altered. (5) 
9.    Inquisitive about, for example,  a bouquet. ( 8 ) 
10.  Good! Infection is holding out on relapse.  ( 8 )
