Deshi name...

I was looking at one of my professors back in Desh on Facebook. His son's name caught my attention. He is in some Ivy League school in CA. Naam? Preshit. I am stunned. Pre-Shit?
Had to google and find meaning but frankly show his gora dost(i) and others in USA would take it, just wondering.

Wish I know. As a professor with an advanced engg degree he should know the meaning of preshit, even in english. Wonder how he finalized it. Fortunately he did not name his second kid as post-shit ;-)

I know a young Indian couple who considered "Harshita" for their baby daughter, realized on the last day before the "barasaala" what the poor girl would face in school, and changed it to Harini.
All the same "Harshita" makes a nice cryptic:

i meant if i didnt know the answer already, i wouldnt be able to figure out what hte clue stood for.

P.S. I vaguely remember Nisha saying she got er MBA from an Ivy League - Stanford.
