In the meantime, India has turned many ordinary colleges into IITs and even lowered the entry marks to IIT to 6% in the entrance exam (https://such.forumotion.com/t32588-this-year-iits-will-admit-students-with-even-6-in-entrance-exam).

The IIT entrance requirement, the main criterion for joining the premier engineering colleges in India (which are similar to the Ivy colleges in the U.S.), is being lowered to 6%, whereas what the above article indicates is that some schools in the U.S. may eliminate the high school tests (accounting only for 20% of the final grade) for students entering mainly the vocational training, etc. ,

CONartists ruled AP for most of that time and paid more attention to Hyderabadi than to Telugu.
