interesting. i was enrolled in an inner-city public school when we first got here. similar incident, a student threw a desk at a teacher and missed her by a whiff. i don't remember security being called in. teachers from the other classrooms rushed in and restrained the student and took him to detention. it's tough to learn under that kind of academic setting...mostly, we were baby-sat while our parents went to work.
