In his autobiography, the Mughal Emperor Jahangir writes that he would often meet the Hindu monk Jadrup with whom he would discuss the 'science of Vedanta'. Vedanta, of course, is a prominent Hindu philosophy. There exist a few contemporary paintings of Jahangir and Jadrup together.

Jahangir writes that he would personally go to Jadrup's dwelling (a cave) to have the philosophical and spiritual discussions; he would not order Jadrup to present himself before him.

Vakavaka claims that he follows Advaita Vedanta but according to Advaita everything and everyone is Brahman(God). So Vakavaka's hatred for certain individuals violates the core principles of Advaita. In accordance with Advaita the people who Vakavaka hates are also Brahman(God).
