The Lone Ranger Empty The Lone Ranger

Had a nice breakfast- made some rava dosais..sambhar and coconut chutney after a long time..and since I already posted some comments in Seva's thread about "The Lone Ranger"..thought I'll add a few more lines and post my mini-review!

Went to see "The Lone Ranger", last night.  Although the critics seem to have hated (savaged really!) and dismissed it, we decided to see it.and it was quite entertaining and fun to watch.. old-fashioned way of storytelling about the Wild West- done Disney style-huge production and lots of min to min adventure and action!

I am not a fan of Johnny Depp, but he is funny as always, and his movies are fast-paced and entertaining, nice to see him in the lead role of the Native American!  Armie Hammer as the Lone Ranger and Helena Bonam Carter are okay in their roles, but the casting of heroine was bad- Ruth Wilson may be okay for slow BBC movies, but, she's quite dull for this role..someone more feisty and bubbly..would have been much better!

It should have ended 10 mins sooner, and dragged in the end, and ..but it's not a bad choice for anyone who does not mind Westerns..and to spend an evening with family and friends at the movies.

*Will give it 7/10.
