had heard about it for years, finally got to watching it... can't believe it was made in late 90s. felt like a much older era. 

didn't really connect with the main plot of the movie i.e. housewife turning regular prostitute, and sorta helplessly. They didn't explore that aspect of it after the first affair-like encounter anyway, rather focused more on her family. The love making scenes were sorta cringy, but carried more subtle significance than eroticism i guess. Eroticism itself was conveyed more by facial expressions than body. I liked the movie for its mature reasonings, relationships, and dialogs, including gestures and symbolism. The ending was also subtle. Good performances by lead actors of course.
