i don't understand. sudha was singing the well known nIlanata sivan composition in poorvi kalyani in that video. where was the BN snippet? did you mean to post something else?

I heard a BN snippet nattuvangam style (not sure what it is called, thithhillaga thadhikita...etc.) in the middle of the song...I am not able to find it again.

that's part of the composition itself. nIlakanta sivan is describing what he is imagining as shiva's dance. they do perform this krithi in BN concerts, but i am not sure if nIlakanta sivan explicitly composed it as a BN piece. in any case the two forms are closely related. BN performers take material not originally conceived as a dance piece and use it and musicians often sing thillanas and padams composed for dance and use it freely in concerts. there is no hard and fast rule.
