I read Fatherland by Robert Harris long time ago and liked it.

Read Enchantress of Florence and liked it too..

Currently reading Imperium by Robert Harris (about the Roman empire and how the senators there consolidated powers) and loving it.


Please suggest some other books on this genre if you know of any.

Can't remember the name, but a historical fantasy (based on an "if" of history) where Mohammad doesn't found Islam and Byzantium and Persia continue into the industrial age.

Yes, Agent of Byzantium it was. Didn't realize it became a series; I only read the first book.
