CHENNAI: India's first Mars orbiter mission is in the last stages of readiness, with propellant being filled into the fourth and last phase of the rocket at 1.30pm.

The countdown started at 6.08am on Sunday. PSLV-C25 carrying the Mars orbiter will blast off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, 100km north of Chennai at 2.38pm on Tuesday...................

Sorry, I don't know. Perhaps the ISRO site may have something to say about this. It probably won't be in the interest / safety of the project to have such real-time info. made public ... just my thought.

I was able to follow the Chandrayaan mission (to the moon) all the way to the moon a few years back. I deleted that site from my favorites some time ago, and can't seem to find it again. You can track the space missions, satellites wtc. at that site. Of course, you can't access the real sensitive stuff, but something like its position in space, speed, direction etc., you can.

While landing for the orbiter safely on Mars is a tricky thing, reaching that planet is not (unless someone makes serious errors in calculations involving orbital mechanics etc.)

I don't think it's a landing mission. I just commented on 'the very difficult nature of Mars missions' indicated in the above Washington Post link / article.

Okay. Even without landing, it's still a great achievement if India could wing it do one chakkar around the red planet.

Based on India's success in Moon missions, there is a good chance that India's Mars mission (reaching / orbiting the planet Mars) will be successful.

Fortunately for ISRO and India, the orbital mechanics calculations and escape velocities for the MARS mission have been reportedly double checked and verified by India's foremost astrophysicist.
