If not for these people, India would not have seen liberalization. Rajiv had more than 3/4th majority and look what he did. IPKF, Bofors, Bhopal Gas tragedy, Escape of Qutrocchi, Sikh riots, a burning Punjab and Kashmir with a tattering economy. If this family is serious about the welfare of the people, he could have brought in MMS or any equivalent during his tenure. Either they are dumb or greedy.
After his death, people of India are having a better living. During his mother's time, people had to pay license even to own a radio. Buying a scooter was a dream to many Indians. People earning more than 5lacs per annum had to pay 95% tax.. what a regime.
