Narendra Modi vs Non-Vegetarians: Modi does not want you to eat Meat

Meanwhile, Congress is saying that Modi is--as usual--telling lies and deceiving the general public:

By this anti-meat rhetoric, Modi is bound to lose all support for the BJP in many parts of India, especially North-East India where beef is eaten since it is considered a form of cheap protein, and Kerala where even hindus are known to eat beef. Furthermore, this rhetoric is bound to antagonize non-vegegtarians in all communities but particularly i think the SC/ST Hindus and muslims and christians since almost all members of these communities are non-vegetarians.

The buffalo meat produced in 2011-12 was 4,08,000 tonne, up 36% from the 2010-11 output of 3,00,000 tonne. "Since the business of buffalo meat processing is well established and accepted in the state, many operational units are procuring buffalo not only from UP but also from Bihar, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab," said Ficci.
