The contribution of Indian dalits to rocket technology
In one of the earlier battles between Tipu Sultan, the great ruler of Karnataka, and the British the latter were completely devastated by a peculiar weapon used by Tipu: long range rockets. These rockets were made by dalit artisan-technologists with no formal training but they completely devastated and demoralized the British and forced them to retreat.

That's not possible ... unless you mean that dalits were strapped with explosives and catapulted into the British army. Dalits were the long range rockets.

I read the entire article. It clearly states that the rockets were invented long before Tipu. There is evidence that rockets were used in 11th/12th century.
Tu bhi na ....typical dalit.

Re: The contribution of Indian dalits to rocket technology
The range of the indian rockets of Tipu Sultan was later found to be twice the range of the contemporary British rockets. This investigation was done by a British rocket expert who then went about studying the design of the Indian rockets so as to improve upon the range of the existing British rockets

The British rocket expert must have been a dalit.

He must have converted and used Sir as a prefix, like Queen Latifah!
