About (Sonia (indirectly though), Hindi/Tamil, Teashop etc etc )

Kiran is stressing Hindi and SG is politely stressing importance of other languages..

It is indeed a good topic. The actual discussion starts at around 52th minute.

First there is an ad covering the entire Video area, had to use the close button at the top RHS to get it out of the way.

The key points which I found illuminating were
a) 600 Million Poor need to eat so we need rapid economic development
b) India needs to take pride in its history. He talked about Indian traders building
   Lebanese cities that is taught to Lebanese but not to Indians.
c) Food and Water security should be the key goals, to achieve by 2020.
d) Agitationists should not spend more than two days for awareness and should
   then focus on solutions
e) Indians have a tendency  to goof-up even a budding opportunity, so we should be
   careful about sustaining new opportunities. He says this is a threat to Indian
   development.
f) Nation needs a strong Military, executive, Judiciary, Civil services. He called them
   as Four Limbs of a Nation.
g)He defined Indian nation hood as culture based, and the one that distinguishes
India is that it is a nation of seekers.

However, his answer on neighborhood relations and other social issues were NOT comprehensive
.
h) He says, we need to co-opt China (he suggests we buy fighters from China)
   and encourage trade with Pakistan. He agrees that these solutions are half-baked,
   but he believes it can be overcome.

   Here he ignores the Islamic Supremacist Ideology and he
recognizes that border incidents keep happening. He did not have solutions for that.
So it is just a partial solution.

i) The response to other Social questions were not direct and did not give a comprehensive
    solution, but the points he brought out were not wrong either. He brought out the
    issue of Teenage Sexual needs not being met when youngsters marry late. He then
    raised the question of Indians attitude to Pre-marital sex as a society, which he
    says is an open question. He says this issue has to be addressed as a
    society. He did not offer a solution. He says currently the Indian society is confused
    on how to deal with this issue.
