Quick question to the Mahabharat-ophiles. I know this question was discussed before but I can't find the thread (I haven't tried looking either).
Question: When did Krishna make his first appearance in the Mahabharata?

Probably because he was invited (no reason given in the story). But the only thing clear in the story is that every king and prince in India at that time was present at that swayamvara, no exceptions (if you don't count the blind king Dhritarashtra).

Based on my research, I believe Krishna made his first appearance at the Draupadi Swayamvara. There is no reason mentioned for his presence at the Swayamwara. He was not related to her.
My favorite character in Mahabharat is Karna.

rekz, I would like to tie your feet and hands to a large bamboo stick, stick a large gala apple in your mouth and roast you on a spit fire like a suckling pig. I would poke your skin in between to see if it were tender enough or not.
