new cell phone reco

Just looking around for a cell.
cost is about same for all.
here are the options i found. which one would you recommend?
samsung galaxy 5
htc one
lg g3
iphone 5
iphone 6(sep/oct)

Samsung galaxy S5. what is there to think about? Well, Fine. It really comes down to what you would prefer, iOS or the Android OS. Any time you're comparing an iPhone with an Android phone, platform preference is going to come into play.
Samsung galaxy s5 is bigger and wider than the iphone. It is water resistant and has a better camera. GS5 also has the infrared capability which means that you can use it as a remote control. what else, the battery life is much much much better with the GS5. I like the screen and love it when I hold it in my hands:-) the iphone seems like a plastic toy, IMO.
not sure how imp hardware specs, processor are to you but please look up some benchmarks.

Lg curve - what are the additional benefits.
looked at ios vs android.
i like ios but apple seems to be behind times.
screen size is just too small.
currently looking at android phones.
i liked what i read about lg g3 but did not know too many owners.
galaxy s5 seems to be good too.

Galaxy s5 is good too but HTC one us equally good if not better and I like the way it looks.

I hate the galaxy...I've broken three screens so far. something abt the design makes it easy to slip from my hands. functionality wise, all of them are good if you arent an electronics geek

what's stopping you from getting an iphone if you keep breaking your galaxy phone? I am planning to buy the iphone 6 for myself. not sure if i should get the 4.7 inch, or the 5 .5 inch phone.

TBT, choose the one whose keys are spaced the farthest apart from one another so that your finger won't press a 'w' when you want to type an 'e'. You don't want to be an inwffective poster, do you?

Quite comprehensive.
smartphones are getting highly personalized.
In addition to all these, most of these new devices have bugs, some of them have high failure rates for certain components (for example Glass for the Samsung Galaxy etc.). Thus, after selecting a device, I would suggest going to amazon/sprint/T-Mobile and check reviews for that device.

I recently looked at Nokia 635. It is an LTE capable found and is fantastic. Moreover we get it for just $130 (no contract price) at the Microsoft store, which is about $40 cheaper than what the carriers sale price.
