excellent op-ed piece by tom friedman. totally cheered me up.

yes, we should stay out, esp no ground troops ever. and spend as little money as possible.
we should just act like we're doing a little something to make everyone happy and pull out asap and let the regional players deal with it.
tf doesn't mention it but also, well, maybe not be overly supportive of the Israelis when they're clearly in the wrong.
I'm so tired of the US getting stuck in the middle east.
