The problem is arising because amazon has a "cash payment on delivery" option and it seems some of the addresses given by the customers are inaccurate. These inaccurate addresses amount to around 10% of the total orders from UP based addresses. Since anyone can order from amazon on the Internet it could be the work of some sneaky telugus for all we know--giving fake orders on amazon together with some fake UP address just for kicks. For all we know you could be guilty of this practice considering you keep badmouthing Uttar Pradeshis because you were treated badly by the Pandas of Kashis and Prayag during your visit to the region.

From the article:

Amazon doesn't have its own delivery network in UP and depends on regular couriers. A local courier said it delivers around 300 orders a day and "90% of them are honoured" . It added, "This is their business decision and they will be best able to tell why they are doing this."
