Role of caste in caiptal selection in AP
Trying to build a capital near Vijayawada is fraught with problems. Naidu could have chosen a place with lot of govt land, but he and his advisers in their infinite wisdom that place and are trying to push it through.
Why was Nuzvid sidelined? There is lot of govt land in that place, and it would have also benefited his supporters who own land around it.

The author of this article should get some medication for linking things in a strange way.
So, CBN is building the capital in Mangalagiri (he is not really doing that) because he is trying to hurt Reddys and Kapus and not really trying to help Kammas!!! All along, the talk was that he was trying to help Kammas because they are dominant in Guntur and Krishna districts.
He is trying to build the capital at a central location in the state where there is plenty of water, rail and road connectivity, etc. He is also planning on high rise buildings to save on land.
It is true that there are some villages in the region that don't have a strong Kamma presence. That doesn't mean that CBN is actively trying to destroy them. He (and Kammas) don't gain much from that. If there are Reddys and Kapus, they will actually benefit without doing much on their own. The author didn't mention some larger villages in the region that have several other castes that are prosperous. He cherry picked those that essentially are small and have smaller Kamma presence. Guntur town, in recent history, is dominated by Kammas. But, if you see the central areas like Brodipeta, Arundelpeta, Agraharam and Pattabhipuram, Kammas don't control them. If you go to central areas in Tenali (Morrispeta, Kothapeta, Nazarpeta, Chenchupeta, etc.) and Vijayawada (Governorpeta, Buckinghampeta, Satyanarayanapuram, Gandhinagar, Old Krishna Lanka, Vijayawada-1, etc.) again, the situation is similar; they have not been dominated by Kammas.
If Naidu has decided against Nuziveedu, that gives the hint that he is not trying to do things exclusively for kamma dominated villages.
Overall, it is an elementary school level article.
