On the day of the quiz: "OMG mommy, this quiz is gonna be very hard".

After the test: "It was sooooo bad. I didn't know what I was doing. I will be LUCKY if I get a 60. I can't believe I am failing".

3 days later: "omg omg omg I got a 77!!! I can't believe it, I am so happy"!!!

Yep. The oldest trick to get a D and create a lot of moral dilemma around questioning it.

Lol! Your oldest is smart. Usually noys don't have those skills. It's the other way around with my younger one: 'Don't worry mom, i did fine. It's going to be an A'. Last sem when i saw the grade, there were two Bs. What happened? 'I don't know. I thought i did really really good. I missed by just one point in both of them.' Does that really matter? A 'B' is a B whether it's an 89 or 80. So disappointing!
