Anna Hazare may have united the country against corruption but it has
divided two good friends. Anupam Kher, now a regular on prime time tv
debates on corruption, has been tweeting about the injustices heaped on
Hazare.
Mahesh Bhatt, who directed Daddy, the film that won Kher a
national film award, has been tweeting for the government, citing
support from Aruna Roy and "my bhai Chandra Bhan", the Dalit writer, who
asks, "Did Anna ever think of fasting against Dalit segregation in his
own village?" Of course none of this went down well with Anna followers
but Bhatt has an answer to that as well, "You want to find out how
intolerant these Anna worshippers are? Just check their abusive
responses to my tweets. How brave."
