Ya, Xians are not as violent as Muslims. Also, their names don't scare chaddis like Karimullah and Mazhullah do. So they're easy game for chaddis to feel manly pride.
The most pathetic bunch are NRI patriots who joyfully cheer this persecution and ridicule secularism while enjoying the secular protections of the largely Christian society they emigrated to.

Oh really? India is more secular and tolerant than US. Let a muslim girl wear a black burka like they do in hyderabad and go to their high school here. Let the muslim men sport their beard and not have ppl look at them with suspicion, let the ones having muslim names not have extra and thorough screenings at the airports, let the mosques buzz the quoran in loud speakers 5 times a day here.Merlot Daruwala wrote:Ya, Xians are not as violent as Muslims. US is a melting pot while India is a salad bowl.

No thanks to folks like you, who cheerlead the chaddis thugs on the ground in your old country.
You dress up in sarees and go to your temples, without any problem. And far from admiring the robustness of the secularism of your adopted nation, you're still whining.
You can take a chaddi out of India, but you can't take out the victimhood complex that define them.

Victimhood? i love US probably more than I love India. But, it is what it is. It's not a very friendly place for as India is for them. No pseudosecular appeasers here for them. India is a far more accepting and tolerant country than US. It is a fact. Accept it!Merlot Daruwala wrote:Kinnera wrote:Oh really? Here we go again, ACCEPTING THEM?! Another trait of Hindutvavadis, is to never accept those living in the country for 1000+ years as one of them. Who are you to accept or reject them? They are as Indian as you are. If a white American told the same to your American born son, you'd make a huge hue and cry.Kinnera wrote:

Of course! Tolerating is a stronger word than accepting. I am talking in terms of religion, not in terms of they being Indian.confuzzled dude wrote:Here we go again, ACCEPTING THEM?! It seems our extremely brilliant Sikular scholars are ignorant of how followers of Semitic faiths view and treat non-Semitic faiths and followers. Just go back a century and read. From old Europe to the new world, they were quite barbaric towards the natives and other older cultures.Kinnera wrote:Of course! Tolerating is a stronger word than accepting. Hindus have been quite tolerant and accommodating. If they are changing now, it is for the better. They are just shedding their self-deprecating behavior.

Aping barbaric, intolerant cultures is not progress. Only cretinous chaddis, forever aspiring to be as tough as Muslims, would think that.

If Hindus wanted to create a Hindu state, they could have done that when Dracula Jinnah wanted a separate state for Muslims. At a time when emotions were running high (in 1947), Hindus didn't declare India a religion based country. So, if M+C are peddling Hindu rashtra as a possibility, they are doing it for their own BS.
As India becomes prosperous, the mainstream will be more into development, jobs, prosperity building, etc. The youngsters (H, M or C) will worry more about education and jobs than religion. Just as Christianity has become moderate in the last 200-300 years, the average Muslim will become the same. The old Semitic thinking that they are the chosen people who are the only ones going to paradise, will die off. If you look at the educated Jews, they are into Buddhism, Yoga, etc. The Moses of the past (who considered idolatry a sin) and Taliban of the present (attacks on Bamiyan, Ahmadiyas, etc.) will be out of place in future. Among Hindus, how many widows these days are wearing white dhotis and shaving their heads? How many girls are staying home and not getting educated? So, old ways are dying off (more so among Hindus than Muslims).
All that the mainstream Hindu community is doing is to re-discover its base. When that happens, they will be tolerant and accommodating, just like they were when the Parsis, Bahai, Ishmailies, etc., encountered them.

Hindu Extremists were very keen on having a Hindu state in India at the time of the partition. Luckily there were secular people like Nehru around who ensured that India remained a secular state.
