many years ago i took a microelectronics elective from prof shevgaonker at iit bombay. he was a fantastic teacher and always seemed like a very principled and fair man. it's sad the BJP govt is screwing around with the internal affairs of the IITs leading to the loss of a rigorous academic and probably an able administrator.
