Modi's foreign visit does pay off
"Japan is offering about $12 billion of the 980 billion-rupee ($14.6 billion) cost, Modi said. The 50-year loan will carry an interest rate of 0.1 percent and a 10-year grace period, according to a copy of the agreement."

Few Pseudo secular posters in their blind hatred of Modi claimed that Modi did not bring in any money from his foreign junkets. But news such as the above become public, these pseudo's bury their head in sand.
If a person is objective they can observe that modi's govt developed a positive atmosphere for economic development in India over the past 18 months. More Foreign investment is part of several ingredients to boost the economy. As long as Modi's govt focus on economic growth, they should be supported.

Congress keeps trying to make religion an election issue n hope people will vote Modi out in next elections. Idiots.
Modi will continue to be our PM if he continues economic growth despite some religion based fights here n there. Opposition can try to paint India with intolerant brush. It's not going to bother anyone except pseudo seculars

Re: Modi's foreign visit does pay off
I hv a feeling that BJP influence will weaken in the next NDA and will have a bare majority. Or, the Italian looters - with Laloo, Nitish, DMK, Mamata, and Mullahyam or Mayawati - might scrape through with a majority to loot all the money Modi is bringing in.
Imagine the level of the scam and looting % age if it had been an UPA-III (of course, none of these FDI would hv come in).

Let's not count chickens yet. Looks like yet another B'wood style mega gala event arranged by this sloganeer govt to take the attention away from pressing issues.

It means you dont know how these FDI and International aid process work. Signing of MoU and inter-governmental agreements are the first and most important steps in this process.
Admire your caution on not counting the chickens yet. But, you never hesitated in counting the chickens and the eggs when similar small-scale looting celebrations carried out in UPA 1 and 2. But, that is par for you.

What is all this FDI for if "intolerance" by Hindus against extremely pieceful minorities is increasing? Modi is the biggest bigot on this planet. A couple of days ago, he deeply hurt the fragile sentiments of Varanasi's monomaniacs by Kafirishly worshipping a river using flowers, milk, sandalwood powder and camphor lights and making the pieceful feel extremely insecure. In addition, he is corrupting Japanese to do kafirish devil worship. Modi's agenda is to turn the world against pieceful practices sanctioned by the one and only Gaud that dangles in the sky and orders morons to murder and maim innocent people.

Ignorance is bliss. Do you know that NRIs pump 5 times the amount promised by Japan for the length of the project, in a single year. Wonder our globetrotting PM spent more on his travel in last year alone than what he is getting in return.truthbetold wrote:Cd knows a thing or two about counting chickens from ysr days. Stop making illogical arguments. Nri's do not send money to be directly invested in a bullet train project. Their money goes to banks or families. Banks have higher cost (deposit interest). Banks invest the money in other relatively shorter (than 50 year) projects. India needs lot of investment in long term infrastructure projects. Japan gave a good deal. You have no argument financially.
If you wish to present your lefty argument of distribution first (code word for upa's buy votes using subsidies) and growth be dammed, go ahead and argue that. The hard truth is that without wealth creation, you have nothing to distribute. Let modi do the ground work for economic growth. Distribution will follow. Is there a democratic nation that has grown fast but refused to improve peoples living standards? Democratic system will ensure development.

Re: Modi's foreign visit does pay off
There is nothing illogical about it. My comparison was to show you that $3 billion per year is nothing in the big scheme of things, so need to jump up and down about a minor (not newsworthy) accomplishment.truthbetold wrote:confuzzled dude wrote:Ignorance is bliss. Unkil, Japan has a history of extending big-ticket, low-interest long-term loans for infrastructure development in India and the rest of Asia under its ODA program, designed to build its influence in its neighborhood.truthbetold wrote:"Japan is offering about $12 billion of the 980 billion-rupee ($14.6 billion) cost, Modi said. In the last decade (2000-2011), Japan has already extended loans to the tune of $34 Bn to fund various infra projects in India. (See: http://www.mofa.go.jp/policy/oda/region/sw_asia/india_o.pdf)
But let this minor detail not stop the star-struck fanboys from cheering their rockstar

Jihadi apologist,
You and your pseudo seculars get all wound up in your desire to paint modi in bad light.
The context is your claims of no fdi is coming to India despite modi's foreign visits.
I just provided proof of incidence of fdi coming in.
Now you guys are changing tune and saying it is not a big amount compared to nitish money or Japan is throwing money at india.
I can give numbers but your intense jealousy of modi makes you unable to appreciate any objective evidence. You resort to cheap techniques to divert the discussion into a personal fight.

Unkil, I made no such claim. And another loan from Japan doesn't qualify as new FDI that came in because of your heart throb's jetsetting.

Jehadi apologist,
While you are prostituting your behind to afzal guru's proteges, world is moving. Your uninformed assessments do not make any difference to economic progress.

Haha..such compelling logic and clarity of thought when you are exposed for the slightly dense fanboy that you are.
PS: Wankergaaru will be pleased with you for using that phrase. Highly wank-worthy material to keep him busy for a couple of hours for sure. Just take care not to shake hands with him when you brotherudus next meet.
