....The man who appointed Ramanujan as a Clerk and encouraged his pursuit of mathematics...

This is not new but came across this for the first time....(as usual when searching for something else).

The question after almost 100 years should not be on who might have helped Ramanujan in mathematics, but about how he suddenly (in just a few years) acquired serious illness leading to his death (the possibility of poisoning not to be ruled out)?
