There are dumb heads on the republican side too who struggle to be politically correct. So what if the detroit muslims are peaceful or the muslims he knows are peaceful and don't subscribe to radical islam? Will the problem of radical islamic terrorism vanish because of that? There are scores of other muslims who are indoctrinated and that's a real threat to everyone's security and that needs to be addressed. Why do these fools feel that by addressing that, they are not doing justice to other muslims who are not radicals?

I think this problem can only be tackled peacefully by the '98%' of peaceful muslims who go about their lives. They need to denounce the ideology that is driving these others to radicalization, reform Islam and present the better interpretation of quran. Christianity has done that and come a long way. The same needs to be done to Islam too and that's only possible by the peaceful majority.

Sure. Muslims don't have livelihoods to earn or families to provide for. They should give up all their selfish pursuits (such as saving themselves from falling bombs and terror attacks in their own neighborhoods) and instead dedicate their lives to reinterpreting the Quran and reforming their religion just so all those gentle, peace-loving people in the West can sleep easy.

Of course, none of this reformation stuff applies to Hindus. Their religion is so sublime and faultless that any reformation would be like trying to improve on perfection. They don't need to denounce anything negative happening in their religion (and in fact should label any denouncers as sickular fukulars and bump them off).
